This has proven to save time when companies are seeking out packaging before the manufacturing of the actual product begins. These 3D product prototypes can be sent out with the package prototypes to ensure there are no issues with the product while shipping in the returnable packaging.
The Design Process
A typical process for an engineer begins when receiving a request for a prototype from a Project Manager. The packaging engineers have seen it all in their tenure and are prepared to create from the simplest design given. This request can either be a digital file, description, measurements, specifications, or simply chicken scratch on paper.
After receipt, the engineer can then provide recommended modifications that may need to be implemented. Amatech’s engineers have access to multiple CAS and 3D-CAD software to test if a digital version of the product will fit into the digital package prototype.
Once everything has been approved by your company, the production phase will begin. The new CAD file is then sent to a server and is opened at the intended workstation where production can begin immediately.
